Empowering Learners with Choice
In 2024, we worked with a group of practitioners in a makerspace to create dynamic activities that provide learners with choice and opportunities for independent learning.

How it happened
We facilitated six 90-minute online workshops for our group to
engage with peers in rich conversations about the practice of teaching
explore examples of activities that empower learners with choice
expand the definition of differentiated learning for adult literacy learning
extend the use of Docs, Slides and Forms for learning
create dynamic activities that provide learners with choice
test creations with colleagues and learners
assess the makerspace experience as a possible practice in teaching
